End-of-Year Celebration: Class of 2024 Graduation
We celebrated our Grade 9 leavers with a wonderful graduation ceremony attended by families, staff, and community leaders.
The Acacia Ridge School campus was filled with joy, pride, and a few happy tears last Friday as we held our annual Grade 9 Graduation Ceremony. The Class of 2024, 42 young people who have grown from curious learners to confident, compassionate individuals, marked the end of their Junior Secondary journey with families, teachers, and community guests.
Guest speaker Eng. Roselyn Nyambura, an Acacia Ridge alumna, delivered a heartfelt address encouraging the leavers to carry the school’s values of integrity and service wherever they go next. “You were shaped here,” she told the graduates. “Now go out and shape the world.”
Head of School Mrs. Waweru presented academic achievement awards, with three students recognised for exceptional performance across all seven CBC strands. The Head Boy and Head Girl both delivered moving speeches reflecting on their time at the school.
The ceremony concluded with a candlelight moment and the singing of the school anthem. Several Grade 9 leavers will proceed to national secondary schools, while others will continue at Acacia Ridge Senior Secondary, pending its planned opening.
